jQuery calls from pages loaded via jQuery

I’m after advice on best practices, as I’m still very new to jQuery and ajax.

I have a PHP page (admin.php) that makes a call via jQuery to load the contents of another page (admin_actions.php). This admin_actions.php then makes a call to another page, depending on what components are selected by the user. So, the flow might look something like this:

→ admin_actions.php
→ admin_responses.php

Each page currently has its own set of tags containing the jQuery function to call the next page via $(document).ready(). Each new page makes various php calls and database queries with the responses being displayed to the user.

Is this the best way to handle multiple ajax calls? Should I even be doing it this way, where a page loaded via jQuery can call another page loaded via jQuery?
