jQuery tests questions

Tell us what’s happening:

Is there something wrong with the jQuery section? I’ve been giving some right answers to some of the tests but it’s not going to the next questions or throwing error.

Example: Change the CSS of an Element Using jQuery
$("#target1").css(“color”, “red”); . This is throwing an error.

Can you help out? Thanks.

Challenge: Target the Parent of an Element Using jQuery

Link to the challenge:

and what error are you getting?

  • I’m getting “Your target1 element should have red text.” Similar issues with two other test.

and do you have any extension that changes the color of the page?

like a dark mode extension… which from your screenshot I see you have.

FreeCodeCamp does have a native dark mode you can switch on from the settings that doesn’t interfere with the tests

The other two.

  • Oh, Okay. Let me disable it.

Thank you so much. It’s fine now. :kissing_heart: :kissing_heart: :kissing_heart:
