Simply put, your regex should not be listed as a solution. A regex that fail to meet the specification but passes the test suite indicates a possible improvement to the test suite, not a correct solution. I am not sure what you are trying to argue at this point.
Could you please clearly identify what you want so this discussion can move forward?
