Keeping a code journal

I thought it was a good idea to start keeping a journal about what I learn about webdev each day, sort of keeping notes, with good format for code, dates, links, etc. Is there any good app you would recommend for this? web or windows if possible. Thanks!

Why not create a public journal using Wordpress or something similar? You could also build a blog using Jekyll and GitHub Pages.

Made with Hubpress and GitHub pages, instead of Jekyll.

Yup, this is what my site is. I don’t have any actual code up on it yet and it is mainly to explain my daily/weekly learnings (and work when I start my big projects) but it will definitely feature code. I don’t think you have to have a “code specific” platform to journal code. I could be wrong but my guess is theres a syntax highlighting wordpress plugin.

I was looking for a way to keep it more private it (something like evernote but with proper syntax highlighting), but now I’m reconsidering it, I may do what you guys are doing and start a blog, sounds good

I use evernote for this, and other thing’s
You can use it on pc/webapp/tablet/phone, and it all will be synchronize.
:thinking:blog? maybe…
