ok so I was able to get passed this point by putting (#) before the id but I don’t know why its required.

Can anyone explain why on this href there had to be a (#) and others in previous projects didn’t?

You’re not linking to an external source. You are linking to something on the same page and referencing it by id. To do that you need the # in front.

Kind of like in a CSS style sheet when you select something by id you put the # in front.
