Let’s for example say that we have this code:

Name: <input type=“text”>

And we want to use a label for the Name and associate it to the input text field then we must do 2 things as seen below:

<label for=“name”>Name:</label> <input id=“name” type=“text”>

Here I added an id attribute to the input tag and I added a for attribute to the label tag. And I made sure that their values are the same so that they are associated.
