Learn Accessibility by Building a Quiz - Step 47

Tell us what’s happening:

what am I doing wrong? I’m getting “you should give hovered li elements a cursor of pointer”

Your code so far

<!-- file: index.html -->

/* file: styles.css */
/* User Editable Region */

li > a {
  color: inherit;
  text-decoration:none;
}

nav > ul > li:hover {
cursor: "pointer";
background: #dfdfe2;
color: #1b1b32;
}

/* User Editable Region */

Your browser information:

User Agent is: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_15_7) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/127.0.0.0 Safari/537.36

the test’s second hint is:

  1. You should use either the nav > ul > li:hover or nav li:hover selector to style the elements on hover.

I’ve used nav > ul > li:hover

oh sorry about that.
The problem is the word pointer. It should not be in quotes.

Got it! That worked! Thank you :smiley:
