Can some one please explain the mode and this step. I am not very clearly able to understand this part.

They explain it this way:

If multiple numbers in a series occur at the same highest frequency, they are all considered the mode. Otherwise, the mode is the number that occurs most often, that single number is the mode.

So an example of this is if you had a series of numbers:
1, 1, 3, 4, 4, 5, 5, 5

The mode would be 5 as it is the one that occurred the most (of highest frequency). But if there was a another number that also occurred three times, then both five and that other number(s) would all be modes.

What is confusing about the step itself? The instructions were simple:

Start by declaring a mode variable and assigning it the value of Object.keys(counts) .

I guess the part about the .filter() method that will be used in step 41 could be a little confusing, seeing as it isn’t used in step 40.

Thankfully, you can handle both of these cases at once with the .filter() method.

It seems a little unnecessary to mentally jump ahead to the next step by inserting this “fact” into this step.

Why are we using [0] here in this step
