<!DOCTYPE html> is it’s own tag. There should be nothing else inside of it.

The html element needs its own opening and closing tag. The lang attribute goes on the opening tag.

Look back at steps 67 and 68 of the Cat Photo App if you need to look at an example.

<!DOCTYPE html>

is supposed to go up on top of the document. No nested tags. Just <!DOCTYPE html>

Followed by an html tag with a lang attribute.
