You have added an h1 element instead of a selector. You set your selector to style. Try removing the h1 element and then in the style element change the selector to h1

Not 100% sure whats going on with the information you have given but im going to give it a shot, You should see this at the top of your page click on styles.css because the example given is how we write in CSS copy and paste the example, Replace the element with h1 because that is how we edit that element then change the property to text-align then change the value to center. Let me know how you get on and good luck.

I Apologise now i see instead of style { replace that with h1 {.
