Hello,
Inside the style tag, you should add CSS code not HTML one, just as demonstrated in the example.
Let’s say you want to style a div to make its background color red, you do it like this

div {
background-color: red;
}

In the example above, the element is the div, the background-color is the property and the value is red, in your case, element is h1, property is text-align and value is canter
