The example has curly braces. I don’t see curly braces in yours.

Also, you don’t want to use HTML tags in CSS, just the name of the element. So if you are setting CSS properties on an h1 element then you just use the name of that element only, no angle brackets or forward slashes.

Follow the instructions. A CSS file is a separate file. Use the ‘link’ element to get a file named style.css. If you intend to use a style element directly in Html code (this is not given as a step in the example!), the first h1 must be without any bracket, but your “text-align: center;” must be put between curly brackets. In this case, delete the closing h1 tag after the closing style tag.
