Challenge: Learn Basic CSS by Building a Cafe Menu - Step 12

Link to the challenge:

“Center the h2 and p elements by adding a new type selector for each one”

You want to add a new ruleset for h2 and p. You have instead combined them all into one ruleset.

Please note, combining them isn’t a bad thing, in fact, you will do that in a later step. But this step isn’t asking you to do that quite yet.

I’ve already tried before listing, but it says to not modify h1, I cannot see what I’m missing. code before the task was not re-written, so what’s the problem? (h2 parenthesis was even spaced in one attempt, i’ve taken many to understand what’s wrong)

Note: in the preview it’s all set correctly, it’s only the code i don’t understand

This looks correct. It could be that you have a browser extension installed that is adding its own style elements behind the scenes and confusing the tests. For example, do you have a dark mode extension installed? You might have to try disabling extensions until you find the one that is causing problems. Or try a different “clean” browser without any extensions installed.

It worked, I’ve installed another browser! Thank you!
