Learn Basic CSS by Building a Cafe Menu - Step 12

Tell us what’s happening:
I am trying to solve the problem it tells me the folowing:
“You should not add a new style tag. Add the new CSS rules to the existing style tag.”
I also tried just adding h2 and p behind the h1 and gives me the following:
“You should not change the existing h1 selector.”
What did I do wrong? In the preview both things look fine to me.

Your code so far

<!DOCTYPE html>

Welcome to the community!
The ; at the end of all three code is missing.

Example:

body {
color: red;
}

Keep up the great progress! :slight_smile:

Hello @anon42932716,
thank you for your reply.
I tried it with the “;” at the end of all three parts, but sadly the problem persists.
I went on with step 13 up until the end of the course and finished every step after step 12.
I also just tried to copy paste the initial state of step 13 into step 12, without any success. :frowning:

I am sorry to hear that.
Did you try submitting from a different browser? Sometimes, browsers have included extensions that create issues randomly.
Speaking from experience and guidance I received in here.

I commend you for going back to this step to try again.

Could you please post your updated code for us to see?

you forgot to add this ; at the end of the letter center

I tried it with the Edge browser instead my Firefox and copy pasted this code fragment from step 13:

<style>
      h1 {
        text-align: center;
      }
      h2 {
        text-align: center;
      }
      p {
        text-align: center;
      }
    </style>

On Firefox this code did not work, but it worked on Edge right now.
Thanks for the fast and great help :slight_smile:
