Challenge: Learn Basic CSS by Building a Cafe Menu - Step 18

Link to the challenge:

You don’t want to put any HTML in a CSS file.

Look at how you added the text-align property with a value of center:

text-align: center;

You would follow this same pattern to add the property background-color with the value of brown. You can place it directly below the text-align property.

It’s telling me I should use a body selector. So I did this and it’s not working < body > { background-color: brown; } < /body >

In CSS, you don’t use HTML tags to select elements, you just use the name of the element. So you almost have it. You just need to get rid of the < and > around the body before the opening curly brace and you need to completely remove the closing body tag after the closing curly brace.

That was easy thanks. I still have to learn the difference from when I’m using which platform or template if that what they are called.
