Learn Basic CSS by Building a Cafe Menu - Step 22

/* comment here */

In your style sheet, comment out the line containing the background-color property and value, so you can see the effect of only styling div element. This will make the background white again.

Can someone please clarify what commenting out code means? I’ve tried replacing the code with the new code with no success. I guess I need this lesson clarified

Your code so far

<!-- file: index.html -->
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html lang="en">
  <head>
    <meta charset="utf-8" />
    <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0" />
    <title>Cafe Menu</title>
    <link href="styles.css" rel="stylesheet"/>
  </head>
  <body>
    <div>
      <main>
        <h1>CAMPER CAFE</h1>
        <p>Est. 2020</p>
        <section>
          <h2>Coffee</h2>
        </section>
      </main>
    </div>
  </body>
</html>
/* file: styles.css */
body {
  /* comment here */
}
}

h1, h2, p {
  text-align: center;
}

div {
  width: 300px;
}

Note, you have a stray } here.

This code is failing because you deleted what was here previously. Instead you need to put /* before the property that was there and */ after it

OMG! that makes so much more sense now! Thanks!
