Comments in CSS look like this:

/* comment here */
In your style sheet, comment out the line containing the background-color property and value, so you can see the effect of only styling the #menu element. This will make the background white again.

Learn Basic CSS by Building a Cafe Menu - Step 22

Hi there! Surround your line of code with these symbols, like this:

/* code here */

/* code here background-color : burlywood ; */
is it like this brow? its not work :frowning:

You don’t have to add it to the given code, it’s just an example

/* */ add that comment Syntex before and after your css property:value background: burlywood;

is “code here” something you have in the css before?

but it said in the outside of backgroundcolor brow im still confused

i think not brow , just i taught code here must be typed

/* */ background-color : burlywood;/* */
is it like this?

did you know that brow means forehead?

anyway, if “code here” wasn’t in the css it should not be in your comment

this is like not commentint at all, you are ending the comment before the css rule to comment out

the comment starts with /* and ends with */, and you need to have it start before the indicated css rule and end immediately after

Example(take it seriously as example):

/* Property: value; */
