the problem stated that the pixel should be 80%, so in my solution I thought would be to take 80% of 300 to solve it, however this is as far as I got.

no simply change the value of width to 80%, to make it 80% the width of its parent element (body ) as it says in the instruction

do i keep the pixel value along with it?

px is a different unit than %, so you cannot use both at the same time
