The task:
To apply the class’s styling to the div element, add a class attribute to the div element’s opening tag and set its value to menu.

what i did: <div class="menu">

i dont know why the test is negative.
maybe i am blind :man_shrugging:

It does look correct. Can you try it on a different browser to see if the test passes? Sometimes there are conflicts with the exercise and the browser extensions. Another option to try is to restart the step and put the class in again to see if that passes.

I try it later in a different browser.
I restarted twice and it fails again.

I will try it once I get to a computer and let you know what I see.

Lately I come across people using Mozilla found several issue while doing tasks at Freecodecamp. You might wanna switch to other browser. I am using Brave and never had any issue.

Try restart your lesson if it does not work I suggest switching browser
