I’m doing exactly what its asking and it’s not going through. Am I missing something or have a typo somewhere?

You put all the code inside your footer. Whatever is inside between these tags

<footer></footer>

Is considered to be inside the footer, or the content of the footer. The challenge doesnt say to add all your code to the footer. All it says is to add the footer below the main element

Add a footer element below the main element, where you can add some additional information

  • below main means below where main tag ends

Its because you are only adding the ending footer at the end of the main element. The directions say to add the footer element after the main element. Which means <footer></footer> not just the closing tag
