Go ahead and add another hr element between the main element and the footer element.

Each element as a whole comprises its opening and closing tags plus all content in-between the tags. So to place an element between two other elements means to place it after the end of one element (i.e. after its closing tag) and before the beginning of the next element (i.e. before its opening tag).

Your second hr tag is placed correctly (other than the fact that it should occupy a line of its own). Your code should pass as it is, unless you’ve changed anything else which I haven’t noticed.

Oh wait, I’ve spotted it! You have an additional stray hr tag at the top of your document. Remove that and your code will pass.
