This is my code:
xp += monsterLevel;

I have also tried xp = xp + monsterLevel;

Each option I have used to no success.

Is anyone able to help me in advising where I am going wrong?

There is no variable declared as monsterLevel. You can see how to get the required value though by looking at the line directly above the one you’re working on.
