Learn Basic JavaScript by Building a Role Playing Game - Step 146

Tell us what’s happening: I’m having some difficulties with the ternary operator

Your code so far

function getMonsterAttackValue(level) {
  const hit = (level * 5) - (Math.floor(Math.random() * xp));
  console.log(hit);
  return hit > 0 ? 'hit' : '0';
}

Please copy/paste all the editor code showing in the challenge from where you just linked.

Replace these two sentences with your copied code.
Please leave the ``` line above and the ``` line below,
because they allow your code to properly format in the post.

Hi @12210399 !

Welcome to the forum!

You are close here

but you have two issues

No.1:
remember that hit is a variable not a string
You need to fix that here

No.2:
you want to return a number not a string here

once you fix those things, then the tests will pass
