I have tried to input what is required and I still get an error

The instructions are:

Change the innerText property of the text to be You enter the store. .

You shouldn’t be changing the text of button1.

That’s more confusing to me. Can you try and give a better example? I’ve been stuck on this step since in the morning and I d=still don’t know what to do

I even tried this

innerText = "You enter the store.";

The text variable was defined earlier in your code:

const text = document.querySelector("#text");

You should be changing the inner text of this variable. Do exactly what you did in your first post but for text instead of for button1.
