Please talk to us about how the instructions or error message is confusing. Thanks

I don’t get it.

how do i do it

what is the object and the property

Finally, update the text.innerText assignment to equal the text from the location object. However, instead of using bracket notation, use dot notation.

location is the object and text is the property

I tried

location.text

but it did not work

Did you ‘update the text.innerText’?

i really don’t get it

would you be able to provide me with the solution so I can try to understand why I am incorrect?

Nope. Copying the answer isn’t really helpful, and it’s not allowed for me to give you the answer.

How have you previously updated variables in this project?

Hi @aebisu29

Try closing the function.

Your code does not need the round braces.

Happy coding

I fixed it to follow your instructions, but despite doing so, I receive this error message:

SyntaxError: unknown: Missing semicolon. (46:35) 44 | button2.onclick = location[“button functions”][1]; 45 | button3.onclick = location[“button functions”][2]; > 46 | text.innerText = location[‘text’].0; | ^ 47 | 48 | 49 | function goTown() {

As @Teller said, you don’t need to surround location.text with any signs
Look at the example in the task:
person.name
