Learn Basic JavaScript by Building a Role Playing Game - Step 77

It does not accept the code below. I need to add a condition that won’t run the code if the player does not have health.

function buyHealth() {
if (health <= 0) {
const answer = “You don’t have health!”;
return answer;
}

gold -= 10;
health += 10;

goldText.innerText = gold;
healthText.innerText = health;

return {
gold: gold,
health: health
};
}

Hello!

You can take the task literally! It just wants the placeholder string in the if condition for now.

This step is confusing for many and needs rework.

function buyHealth() {
  if ("health is equal or higher than 10" ) {
    gold -= 10;
    health += 10;

    goldText.innerText = gold;
    healthText.innerText = health;

    return {
      gold: gold,
      health: health
    };
  } else {
    const answer = "You don't have health!";
    return answer;
  }
}

Tried this and still not working

for now it just wants the literal string "condition"

I suggest you try to solve the step yourself before trying to help, please

Thanks a lot! It worked…

hey there @uwamahorora

If you have a question about a specific challenge as it relates to your written code for that challenge and need some help, click the Ask for Help button located on the challenge (it looks like a question mark). This button only appears if you have tried to submit an answer at least three times.

The Ask for Help button will create a new topic with all code you have written and include a link to the challenge also. You will still be able to ask any questions in the post before submitting it to the forum.

Thank you.
