Tell us what’s happening:

Currently getting an error of you should add a new line with text.innerText. Instead of adding to the existing one as I did should I create a new one?

WARNING

The challenge seed code and/or your solution exceeded the maximum length we can port over from the challenge.

You will need to take an additional step here so the code you wrote presents in an easy to read format.

Please copy/paste all the editor code showing in the challenge from where you just linked.

Replace these two sentences with your copied code.
Please leave the ``` line above and the ``` line below,
because they allow your code to properly format in the post.

You are correct, you need to add a new line and not modify the existing one

text.inner += “In your inventory you have:”;
When I add that in it still gives me the same error message.

What does your code look like when you do that?

text.innerText += "You now have a " + newWeapon + “.” + “In your inventory you have:”;

This is the original line of code

    text.innerText = "You now have a " + newWeapon + ".";

It has to remain unchanged.

You need a new line adding more to the text.innerText at the very bottom of your if statement.

I added this to the bottom and it still gives the same error
text.inner += “In your inventory you have:”;

total code for the section

function buyWeapon() {
  if (gold >= 30) {
    gold -= 30;
    currentWeapon++;
    goldText.innerText = gold;
    let newWeapon = weapons[currentWeapon].name;
    text.innerText = "You now have a " + newWeapon + ".";
    inventory.push(newWeapon);
    text.inner += "In your inventory you have:";
  }
}

Two issues here - you need to double check the left hand side of the = because you have a typo, and you need spaces at the beginning and end of your string on the right hand side.

That worked thanks for the help once again.
