Learn Basic JavaScript by Building a Role Playing Game - Step 96

I’m at step 96 and i can’t understand why it keeps telling me to add the new if statement when i already did?

  if (gold >= 30) {
    gold -= 30;
    currentWeapon++;
    goldText.innerText = gold;
    let newWeapon = weapons[currentWeapon].name;
    text.innerText = "You now have a " + newWeapon + ".";
    inventory.push(newWeapon);
    text.innerText += " In your inventory you have: " + inventory;
    } else {
    text.innerText = "You do not have enough gold to buy a weapon.";
  }
  }
}

when i submit it shows: Your existing if statement should be within your new if statement. which i’m very sure i’ve done

but the console output is showing:
// tests completed
// console output
[TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading ‘name’)]

you should not have the if gold >= 30 twice, it should exist only once, inside the check if currentWeapon < 3

you get the error in the console because your currentWeapon goes higher than 3, and the weapons array has only 4 items (indeces 0-3)

thanks, took me awhile but i figured it out. i change the value of the first gold and it fixed it. i appreciate.

right code is
