Learn Basic String and Array Methods by Building a Music Player - Step 13

Tell us what’s happening:

I just can’t understand what is wrong with this code . The error tells me “Your console statement should include the template literal ${org} is awesome!”. I did include it, from what I can tell??

const printMessage = org => {
console.log(‘${org} is awesome!’);
}
printMessage(“freeCodeCamp”);

Your code so far

<!-- file: index.html -->

/* file: styles.css */

/* file: script.js */
// User Editable Region

const printMessage = org => {
  console.log('${org} is awesome!');
}
printMessage("freeCodeCamp");

// User Editable Region

Your issue is here

you are using the wrong type of strings here.
the lesson wants you to use template literals. not regular strings here

once you fix that, then the test will pass

Arrrggg!!! Thank you for your input… I completely forgot that template literals use backticks and not quotes! I knew I was missing something really simple, but just did not pick up on that one. Thanks again…
