Before you start working on playing the next and previous song, you need to get the index of each song in the songs property of userData.

Start by creating an arrow function called getCurrentSongIndex.

**const getCurrentSongIndex = () => {**
**  return userData?.songs**
**}**

Hi there. Assuning the stars aren’t a part of the code, you just have to remove the line regarding the return statement. It’s not a part of this step.

The stars aren’t a part of it, your right … and thank you I didn’t realize that i skipped ahead with the return statement but you’re right thank you!!!
