Learn Basic String and Array Methods by Building a Music Player - Step 49

Tell us what’s happening:

Hello so I checked in the forum, and this seems to be what is requested. I put in the pauseSong solely on its own at first, then I noticed that its a call function so I added the parentheses to be pauseSong() and it still did not work, anything done wrong?

Your code so far

<!-- file: index.html -->

/* file: styles.css */

/* file: script.js */
// User Editable Region

pauseButton.addEventListener ("click", pauseSong());

The space between the parentheses is not allowed. Good luck

(plus a removal of the parenthesis)

is this a reference to the function? or is it maybe a function call?

addEventListener needs a function, not a function call, as second argument
