Learn CSS Colors by Building a Set of Colored Markers - Step 1

Tell us what’s happening:

This worked on the previous two projects. Seriously frustrated as to why it won't work now.

Your code so far

Hey there!
You have missing = equal sign after attribute lang. And you also need a closing HTML tag.
@gtmurphy

Thanks for pointing out the = mistake.
I’m seriously missing something with the closing tag, I’ve looked back on the previous projects and still I’m missing something!

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html lang="en">

For the challenge step you need only DOCTYPE declaration and HTML tag with lang attribute and value en.
@gtmurphy

I thought that is what I had done?
Telling me I need a closing tag on the html element.

Remember. html tag always need a closing tags.

I’m sure the code I’ve put in worked on the catphoto app and the cafe menu.

Those both challenges have html tags in the end. You didn’t seen it while you doing those challenges. Because it was provided already by the curriculum. Open those challenges and scroll down to the end of the challenge editor, you will saw there is a closing html tag in both previous challenges.

Cat photo app first step.

Cafe menu first step.

Thank you so much, you have no idea how grateful I am!
