Describe your issue in detail here.
**Your code so far**
<head> <title> Colored Markers</title> <meta charset="utf-8" /> </head>
**Your browser information:**
User Agent is:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/104.0.5112.81 Safari/537.36
Challenge: Learn CSS Colors by Building a Set of Colored Markers - Step 4
Link to the challenge:
meta>utf-8 element tells browser to properly encode characters inserted inside of HTML in case we have other languages ( else we’ll see gibrish there.)
Now coming back to the blocker you’re facing here -
This meta tag has to be present before any element with content. Eg. here
title element has content and if meta comes after it, It’d not do proper encoding because parser picks the
meta>utf-8 hint after it passes
title element. ALthough I think It maybe not the case with modern browser but it’s a good check to have.
