Learn CSS Colors by Building a Set of Colored Markers - Step 7

I have nested the self-closing link tag in my head but it still says I missed something. What? I have checked all spellings and proper punctuations. Please help.

DOCTYPE html>
<html lang="en">
  <head>
    <link href="styles.css" rel="stylesheet">
    <meta charset="utf-8">
    <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0">
    <title>Colored Markers</title>
  </head>
  <body>
    <h1>CSS Color Markers</h1>
  </body>
</html>

Oops I added the code but its not showing here. Is there something I am missing?

To post your code on the forum, please click on the </> and paste in your code where indicated. Otherwise the HTML is rendered directly on the page.

I can’t see the </>.
Sorry for the no-brainer questions. :face_with_peeking_eye:

Yes!! Finally! Took me a while.

Finally fixed it. Please help ASAP.

Have you lost the <! from this first line?
Your code passes for me (other than this).

You should begin your coding with
<! Just before the DOCTYPE html>

Instead of your current coding with
“DOCTYPE html>”

Actually I think I pasted incorrectly but on the code editor it has the <!.
So it must be a bug or something.
