Learn CSS Flexbox by Building a Photo Gallery - Step 5

Tell us what’s happening:
Describe your issue in detail here.

I am having an issue with step 5. The instructions are as follows:
" Below your .header element, create a new div element and assign it a class of "gallery". This div will act as a container for the gallery images.
Inside that .gallery element, create nine img elements."

I believe my code is right but it keeps giving me the following error:

" Sorry, your code does not pass. Hang in there.

Hint: Your new div element should come after your .header element.

answer this question first:

Is an image tag in html self-closing or does it need a start/end tag?
(also, remove the src attributes as this is not what was requested)

It is self closing… I see the mistake there, but wasn’t the issue I was having. I did find the mistake…

I realized I nested it in the < header > element

(I took the instruction to literally place it after the “< header >” and not the “< header > < /header >” element)

so the problem has been solved. just a silly mistake.
