Learn CSS Transforms by Building a Penguin - Step 54

Tell us what’s happening:

The tutor prompt asks to input a --property=face:root property of ‘property face’ and from my understanding, this is what inputting a property of property face with a value of white would be. Could someone please explain

Learn CSS Transforms by Building a Penguin - Step 54

the instructions were

Create a custom CSS property called --penguin-face , and set it to white .

that means you need to create a :root selector first, then add the --penguin-face property to it.

hbar!!!

But whats a ‘:root’ selector, it seems like this is the first time its being used, without an explanation…

please review the city skyline project.
Step 25

Oh yeeeeeeaaaaaahhh!

Just another question @hbar1st , in step 100 the animation, would this be the first time this property is being used or is there a prior like the other?

I am not sure what you mean? Which property are you referring to?

Oh this is step 100 of css transform, a different lesson…

I am sorry. I still don’t know what you are asking me.
