Learn CSS Variables by Building a City Skyline - Step 104

Tell us what’s happening:

I can not get it to pass. I have tried all versions from previous solutions.
-I have removed the background-color/ added it back
-I have added the var to the transparents/removed them
-I have combined the percentages/separated them

not sure what else there is

this is my error message:
You should give .fb5 a background property.

Your code so far

.fb5 {
  width: 10%;
  height: 33%;
  background-color: var(--building-color2);
  background: repeating-linear-gradient(
    var(--building-color2),
    var(--building-color2 5%),
    transparent 5%,
    transparent 10%
  );
  position: relative;
  right: 10%;
}```

Hey! the problem seems to be on this line. That’s not valid syntax for using CSS variables, you need to remove the 5% from inside the brackets and place them outside.

Hope this helps! :smile:
