The instructions were:

Variable declarations begin with two dashes (- ) and are given a name and a value like this:
--variable-name: value;

So I would just do this exactly with the name they want us to create.

Ps. And it should be in the bb1 section as reuqested

.bb1 {--variable-building-color1:(#999);
  width: 10%;
  height: 70%;
  display: flex;
  flex-direction: column;
  align-items: center;
}

I tried this and it still doesn’t work.

Let’s compare their example with your implementation of it:

Theirs:

Vs.

What do you think? Any differences in the syntax?

Also recall the instructions said
create a variable named --building-color1, not --variable-building-color1
