Challenge: Learn CSS Variables by Building a City Skyline - Step 51

Link to the challenge:

That isn’t quite how you define a gradient. Every percentage needs a color. Also, there should be no semi-colon in the middle. Look closely at the example in the instructions to see how it is done. Also, I would format your CSS like it is shown in the instructions to make it easier to read, which will also make it easier to include all of the information.

i dnt understand you here

You’ll need to ask a question or at least tell me what you don’t understand. Otherwise I don’t know what to help you with.

bb2b {
width: 100%;
height: 100%;
background: linear-gradient(
var(–building-color2) 0% 6%,
var(–window-color2) 6% 9%);
}

To display your code in here you need to wrap it in triple back ticks. On a line by itself type three back ticks. Then on the first line below the three back ticks paste in your code. Then below your code on a new line type three more back ticks. The back tick on my keyboard is in the upper left just above the Tab key and below the Esc key.

Every percentage needs to have its own color line. Look at the example in the instructions again. Notice that each line has a color and percentage.

you have to list every percentage with it’s own color

this is the solution

background: linear-gradient(
var(–building-color2),
var(–building-color2) 6%,
var(–window-color2) 6%,
var(–window-color2) 9%
);
