Step 77

Don’t worry about the space at the bottom, everything will get moved down later when you add some height to the element at the top of the building.

Add a repeating-linear-gradient to .fb1c with a 90deg angle, your --building-color4 from 0% to 10% and transparent from 10% to 15%.

Hello @sibojeanwest !
Are you able to post your code using ``` before and after the complete html file and the css file, please?

Sometimes, the error is outside of the immediate code, which is one of the reasons we ask for the complete code.

This allows us to better, accurately, offer guidance to help you resolve the problem.

Thank you @sibojeanwest ! :sun_with_face:

You need to chek your variables. These names should resemble the names in the root selector.

Here is the root selector.

:root {
  --building-color1: #aa80ff;
  --building-color2: #66cc99;
  --building-color3: #cc6699;
  --building-color4: #538cc6;
  --window-color1: black;
  --window-color2: #8cd9b3;
  --window-color3: #d98cb3;
  --window-color4: #8cb3d9;
}

You also need to add color transparency. Just the same way you added the others, with some percentages.
Here is a syntax to help you if you get stuck.

transparent percentage

Its also best practise to have these lines of code in a block rather than linear, its easier to work with.
