You are going to learn skills that you can build on later.
However no practice project is required to get the certification. Only the 5 certification projects must be completed so you can skip if the project doesn’t seem interesting.
Also another way to skip the steps is to go to the final step and read the code. If you see something you don’t understand, then google up the tags/code. If you are satisfied to know about it without trying it, then that also works.
