<input type="text" placeholder="Name" id="${entryDropdown.value}-${entryNumber}-name"/>;
Pls i dont understand what the editor wants from the :point_up_2 :(above) line of code?.
this is the instruction
After your label element, and on a new line in your template string, create an input element. Give it a type attribute set to text , a placeholder attribute set to Name , and an id attribute that matches the for attribute of your label element.

Hi, it seems your input element is built properly, maybe you are not starting and ending the template literal string with backticks `` properly.

Your function should look like this:

Mod edit: solution code removed

Hope this helps.

@Jacobs322

It is great that you solved the challenge, but instead of posting your full working solution, it is best to stay focused on answering the original poster’s question(s) and help guide them with hints and suggestions to solve their own issues with the challenge.

We are trying to cut back on the number of spoiler solutions found on the forum and instead focus on helping other campers with their questions and definitely not posting full working solutions.

Yes I’m focused on solving the question but the thing is I dont understand what the hint is trying to say

We can’t see your full code properly but as was suggested you likely did not add the new element inside the same template string as the label element. They should both be inside that template string.

function addEntry() {
  const targetInputContainer = document.querySelector(`#${entryDropdown.value} .input-container`);
  const entryNumber = targetInputContainer.querySelectorAll('input[type="text"]').length;
  const HTMLString = `
  <label for="${entryDropdown.value}-${entryNumber}-name">Entry ${entryNumber} Name</label>
  // input element inside here
  `;
}

thanks I have gotten it
