Try using double quotes instead of single quotes. Not sure if it will help but worth a try.

The double quotes did not work, I received the same error message.

oh i see the issue. Double check the hint… compare what it says to your href value

hello, I see you posted some code, but so far no question?

The power went off in my home for a second.
I am stuck. The message says code does not pass and this is the next message I receive
Hint

Your anchor (a) element should have an opening tag. Opening tags have this syntax: <elementName>.

does this part here look good to you?

Yes it does , before I lost power, someone wrote back saying to change the single quotes to double quotes. This did not work, came back with the same error message.

yes that was me both times.
Look again at my last post.
Is the href defined properly?

Yes, it is written the same way you have posted, however, the href is printed in a red color.
Is this still ok? When you say defined, do you mean how it is written and printed?

Can you try this (I just noticed you have some missing required code).
Click on Restart Step.
Then review the instructions again.
Add a new line under the paragraph and without modifying any exising code
add your anchor element.

It should be similar to the example given in the exercise. (you can copy and paste the example as a starting point into your empty line)

Thanks , I will give it a try.
