You already gave your image an address in the 'href 'attribute. Between your opening and closing tag goes the text you want to appear on the page as a link, which is in this case ‘link to cat photos’.

i followed the instruction but the code is not passing

oh your right :person_facepalming:, my bad. After rereading the instructions I realized that they want you to create a link but not yet add text to it. Erase the text ‘link to cat photos’ so that your link will be empty of content:
Ex:

<a href=""></a>
