Any element, even an image (img) element, surrounded by the opening and closing tags of an a element becomes a link. Right now your syntax is not correct.

Also remember that the anchor element (a) is an inline element, that is to say that it is as if you were to add a word or a letter in the paragraph; therefore, you have to follow the same writing conventions.

For example:

<p><a href="https://freecatphotoapp.com">see</a>more cat photos in our gallery</p>

The see word becomes a link after the browser parses it, but it will appear attached to the more word because there is no space between the closing tag and this word.
