the wording is a bit vague Iā€™m trying to figure out where to put the tags and how to set that up right.

The code is correctly structured. Instead of posting a portion of the code,can you post the entire HTML code here?

yep i can do that

<html>
  <body>
    <main>
      <h1>CatPhotoApp</h1>
      <h2>Cat Photos</h2>
      <!-- TODO: Add link to cat photos -->
      <p>See more cat photos in our gallery.</p>
      <a href="https://freecatphotoapp.com">link to cat pictures</a>
      <img src="https://cdn.freecodecamp.org/curriculum/cat-photo-app/relaxing-cat.jpg" alt="A cute orange cat lying on its back.">
    </main>
  </body>
</html>

When I run your code, it passes.
Try resetting the lesson then run the same code and see if it accepts.
If that does not work,check whether you got existing browser extensions and disable them.
Also,if the above do not work,use a different browser.

it says change cat photos into a link by adding tags

this was the default for the last task now have to add some tags and change some things

Step 12

In the previous step you turned the words link to cat pictures into a link by placing them between opening and closing anchor (a) tags. You can do the same to words inside of an element, such as a p element.

In the text of your p element, turn the words cat photos into a link to https://freecatphotoapp.com by adding opening and closing anchor (a) tags around these words.

Are we working of step 11 or 12? Kindly specify.

woops yeah 12 is the version im on

Alright.now post the code to the correct lesson here.

<html>
  <body>
    <main>
      <h1>CatPhotoApp</h1>
      <h2>Cat Photos</h2>
      <!-- TODO: Add link to cat photos -->
      <p>See more cat photos in our gallery.</p>
      <a href="https://freecatphotoapp.com">link to cat pictures</a>
      <img src="https://cdn.freecodecamp.org/curriculum/cat-photo-app/relaxing-cat.jpg" alt="A cute orange cat lying on its back.">
    </main>
  </body>
</html>

The text cat photos in this paragraph should be enclosed in an anchor element (<a href="link">Text</a>)
Do not form a new text.

 <p>See more <a href="https://freecatphotoapp.com">catphotos</a> in our gallery.</p>
      <a href="https://freecatphotoapp.com">link to cat pictures</a>

ive done this wrong. im not sure why

You need to give some space to this text.
Once that is accomplished, the code will pass.
