Please talk to us about how the instructions or error message is confusing. Thanks

where does the word link to a cat picture go and do i use <a><a/> or do i use p

Add the anchor text link to cat pictures to the anchor element. This will become the link’s text.

You need to add the entire phrase link to cat pictures between the opening <a> and closing </a>, yes. You should make no other changes other than typing those 4 words.

Please show us what you have tried instead of posting the starting code.

where do i put them

<p> <a href="https://a link to cat pictures></a></p>

Here, you deleted the value of the href attribute.

Reset the code and delete nothing.

Only add the 4 words link to cat pictures after the opening <a> tag and before the closing </a> tag.

<a> <img src="https://cdn.freecodecamp.org/link to cat pictures."</a>
 <a href="https://www.freecodecamp.org">link to cat pictures</a>

i put what you have and it still says fail

<a herf =“https://cdn.freecodecamp.org/link to cat pictures.”</a>

This is closer, but you have to type the exact 4 words the instructions tell you to use.

The instructions did not tell you to change the href attribute. You need to change none of the code that is already there!

<a href="https://www.freecodecamp.org"> link to cat pictures</a>
<a href="https://www.freecodecamp.org"> link to cat pictures</a>

and it still says wrong

Your code is not visible when I click on that link.

You have an extra space in front of the word link

i have tried it everywhere possible.

Did you try deleting the space before the letter l in ‘link’? Please post your latest version of your full code.
