what am i doing wrong? im sure this should be simple to the normal person but im slow at this and a total beginner so someone help!!! what should i have typed? and where? i feel so dumb even asking. lol

Not to worry, you aren’t the only person who doesn’t get this on the first try. This is one of the most popular steps in this forum.

First, I would restart the step to get the default HTML back. The important thing to remember here is that you aren’t changing any of the text in the p element. You are only turning the words “cat photos” into a link. You have actually already done this very thing. You created the “cat photos” link below the p element in the previous steps. Use that as an example of how to turn the words “cat photos” into a link in the p element. You can put a tags inside of a p element.
