im confused by step 12 for nesting the anchor in the p element, can someone explain what i am doing wrong please.

Your opening a tag isn’t quite right and you deleted the words “cat photos” which you need because those are the words on the page you want to turn into a link. You might want to reset the step to get the original HTML back and then try again.

You already turned the words “link to cat pictures” into a link:

<a href="https://freecatphotoapp.com">link to cat pictures</a>

Do you see how you did that by putting an opening a tag before the words and and a closing a tag after the words. That’s exactly what you want to do to turn the words “cat photos” in the middle of the p element into a link. Don’t delete or change anything that is already there. Just add those two tags.
