First remove the extra < bracket you have before your opening a tag.
Your <a> element needs a closing tag too but first add the text you want appearing as a link between your a openoing and closing tag.:

<a href="">My text</a>

Now continue the rest of your paragraph after your closing </a> tag and remember to add a closing p tag after your paragraph.
Ex of paragraph with link inside:

<p>This is a paragraph with a<a href=""> Link </a> inside.</p>
